This workshop will cover social connection and it’s importance, what we’ve learned about creating connections and communities, and how to begin conversations when you’re worried about someone or you need to talk. 

  • Learn why humans have a biological need for social connection.
  • Understand the type of connections that promote resilience and good mental health.
  • Discuss how we create a ‘community’ around us when we live in the modern world (i.e. social media, work-from-home, working remotely)
  • Be there when it counts – Discover the best way to start a conversation offering support.
  • How to ask for support and who to turn to when you really need it.

Kathryn Gale is a psychologist with over 20 years of experience and has consulted to a wide variety of workplaces to facilitate a deeper understanding of mental health issues, and facilitates workshops with a focus on burnout, holistic wellness, mindfulness, conflict resolution, mental health, social connection and work/life balance.
