Webinar: Everything you need to know about sleep & your health (11 June 2025)

There’s a lot more to fatigue than not enough sleep. While the two are related, there are a range of health, lifestyle, environmental and workplace factors that impact the quality and quantity of our sleep, and how refreshed we feel afterwards.

This workshop is for anyone who can struggle with sleep or fatigue – probably most of us – and you can expect the learn the following:

  1. To understand the role of sleep and outline good sleep hygiene practice
  2. To understand the impacts of not getting enough sleep (e.g. learning, memory, impairment, performance, health and longevity)
  3. To understand external factors that can disturb or support sleep (e.g. caffeine, alcohol)
  4. To provide information and tips for achieving good sleep hygiene practice

Meet the Speakers

Dr Trent Watson is CEO and principal health & safety consultant at Ethos Health, a multidisciplinary health and safety business based in Newcastle and Hunter region. Trent completed his undergraduate studies in health sciences and PhD in nutrition and dietetics at the University of Newcastle, a Diploma in WHS and has continued his research interests in workplace health, with a special interest in fatigue. He has over 20 years’ experience working and reviewing the impact of health- and fatigue-related interventions across a diverse range of 24/7 industry.
