Webinar: How to help a mate who’s doing it tough (15 Oct 2025)

Everyone wants to be there for the people they care about. But when a mate is struggling, it’s easy to feel unsure of what to say, worried about making things worse, or stuck between wanting to help and not knowing how.

This workshop aims to give you the confidence and tools to step in and support someone doing it tough. Learn how to spot the signs that something’s not right, start a conversation without fear of saying the “wrong thing,” and guide your mate towards the help they might need.

You don’t need to have all the answers. You just need to know how to listen, show up, and encourage the next step. I’ll show you how to do that in a way that protects your own well being too.

At the end of this session, you’ll walk away knowing:

  • How to recognise when a mate might be struggling.
  • What to say (and what not to say) when you check in.
  • Simple ways to encourage help-seeking and reduce stigma.
  • Where to turn for extra support and resources.

Because being a good mate isn’t about fixing everything, it’s about making sure no one has to go through it alone.
