Suicide prevention bystander campaigns

Network Rail, in partnership with Samaritans and the British Transport Police launched its flagship Small Talk Saves Lives campaign in 2017. The campaign aims to give commuters the confidence to trust their instincts and intervene if they see someone vulnerable who may be at risk of suicide on or around the rail network. ‘There is Always hope’ was launched by Network Rail and Chasing the Stigma in March 2021 in response to research showing a rise in mental health issues across Britain as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. More information is available here.
