This week TrackSAFE Foundation will be joining over 7000 colleagues in Sydney for AusRAIL PLUS. The largest rail event in the Southern Hemisphere provides the TrackSAFE team the opportunity to connect with a range of stakeholders and share the diverse range of work of the Foundation.
Prior to arriving in Sydney, the team were asked to share their thoughts about the event and what they were looking forward to most.
Bob Herbert AM, Chairman: This AusRAIL PLUS is shaping up to be the biggest yet. I will be attending a range of meetings, panel events and providing the ARA Chairman’s Address on Thursday morning. In between all of this I look forward to reconnecting with colleagues and meeting new faces.
Naomi Frauenfelder, Executive Director: AusRAIL PLUS is always a great event and a chance to catch up with people from different roles, organisations, locations and interests. I am particularly excited to chair the Office of the National Rail Safety Regulator (ONRSR) session on Day One of the Conference. This stream will feature a range of talented presenters discussing the latest in safety and improvement and will be a chance to connect in with a range of stakeholders working in this area.
Janine Ferris, Manager TrackSAFE Education: What I look forward to at each AusRAIL PLUS conference is the chance to speak with people about the work of the TrackSAFE Foundation, in particular my area of expertise-education. I am your key contact for the TrackSAFE Education initiative and will be on hand at the ARA/TrackSAFE booth to chat all things rail safety and our latest resources for schools.
Alex Culloden, Manager Corporate Affairs and Projects: As the newest member of the TrackSAFE team I feel very fortunate to be able to attend AusRAIL PLUS and meet with so many industry stakeholders and sponsors of the work TrackSAFE does. I will be spending time around the ARA/TrackSAFE booth throughout the conference so come and say hi-and don’t forget to pick up your reusable TrackSAFE straw!
In addition to the TrackSAFE booth at the Exhibition, delegates will also be able to connect in with the team during the following sessions:
- Day One (Tuesday 3 December): Naomi Frauenfelder, Chair of ONRSR session (1:55pm-5:30pm)
- Day Three (Thursday 5 December): Bob Herbert AM, Chairman’s address (9:05am)
